Year of the Tiger

On February 14th, Meyonohk students, parents and staff will celebrate the Year of the Tiger.

On the 12th of February, students and staff will be celebrating the Chinese New Year with a Fortune Lunch. We are pleased to have Shanghai Restaurant prepare and package the food again this year.

In the morning, students from both programs will participate in our traditional Chinese New Year Assembly.  Students will celebrate the beauty and diversity of the Chinese culture by watching their fellow students sing Chinese songs, play traditional Chinese musical instruments, demonstrate the Chinese Yo-Yo, perform beautiful dances from different parts of China, as well as participate in the famous Lion and Dragon Dances.   

Students also received their special red envelopes, complete with a penny!
